based in Kodiak, Alaska. This site is dedicated to How
feature length narrative film produced in July
2008. Ronald Jerry wrote the How
Rock, formerly Kitty Productions created two prior movies. Equivocation
(2003) delves into the mysterious disappearance of a small town
(2006) a psychological thriller investigates ideas
involving purgatory, memory, family and loss. Cope was selected
nation-wide commercial DVD release, along with foreign property sales.
30 2009 - How to Survive nears completion. After a long editing process
we have a final cut of the movie. Just last week we completed
color correction and are currently working on audio levels and placing
the score as it is recorded. For those of you interested in what
color correction really means, here are a few screenshots. The
upper left is as shot, the lower right is corrected:

can clearly see the drastic difference in the green mountainside.
His clothes also appear much richer.
Some scenes have a more subtle difference, with more dramatic darks for a crisper and more cinematic feel.

19 2009 - The website fell to the wayside as post production of How to
Survive continued. We are glad to have the site up and running
again and we will post more updates in the near future. We are
nearing completion with a final cut of the movie and audio and scoring
still in the process. Thank You to everyone who has shown
continiued interest and support!
September 2 2008 - Photos in the media section of the web site can now be enlarged for proper viewing.
26 2008 - It has been a wild summer! Principle photography of
to Survive was wrapped on July 28th. The entire cast and
diligently throughout the month of July gathering hours of fantastic
footage. Thank you to everybody who came to the set to
our endeavours. Since then Ronald Jerry has begun the editing
phase as well as gathering some integral 'B roll' including aerial
photography. Investigate the Media section for behind the
photographs and eventually the trailer! The Talent section as

24th 2008 - Yesterday Ronald rigged the safety gear in the tree for the
tree fall sequence and then practiced the fall, making sure it was not
only feasible but easy and safe. Time is also being spent
gear gathering, food service planning (Thank you Susan Reid),
scheduling and equipment preparation.
19th 2008 - We have continued working on the specifics of our shooting
locations and in doing so gathered some pictures of Kodiak's turning
green. These are two shots of different areas where we will
shooting along the river. We have also been tackling the
task of nailing down the shooting schedule.
31st 2008 - Yesterday was an exciting day for Kiliuda Rock.
Ronald along with the help of Michea and Paula Westbrook and
Krystal Sullivan were out in the field preparing the integral tree fall
sequence. Also, many long hours were spent proofing and
rewriting the script, again with the help of Krystal.
22nd 2008 -
Congratulations to our team member Rachel Whiddon who had a
beautiful healthy baby girl on May 4th! In movie news, we are
nearly finalized with casting. We have two actors locked in,
are in discussion with a few others. Thank you to everyone
auditioned! This is going to be a extremley exciting cast.
We are still working on script revisions, budgets, schedules,
storyboards, etc. and are looking eagerly forward to being out there
and rolling. Kodiak is just beginning to turn green.

21st 2008 -
We are now entering the next phase of casting. We have
many wonderful auditions from talented actors across the country.
Now we are begining to decide, based on those auditions, who
believe would best fit our cast. We will also be concidering
late arriving auditions due to postage or circumstance.
16th 2008 -
We are past the postmark deadline for audition submissions.
however welcome people to continue emailing or youtube posting
auditions through Saturday April 19th. Thank you to everybody
auditioned thus far, we believe this will be an excellent cast.

7th 2008 - The casting process is well underway. We have
resumes and correspondance from a wide variety of potential actors.
We would like to thank everybody that has responded to our
casting call thus far. It is exciting to hear from so many
skilled and enthusiastic indivuals. The deadline for mailing
